SPECIAL ISSUE: ADVANCES IN GEOARCHEOLOGY AND ARCHAEOMETRY – RECENT RESEARCH IN LATIN AMERICA Due to the growing interest on multidisciplinary topics between the Exact Science and Archaeology, we invite new, original contributions dealing on physics, chemistry, geoscience, geology, pedology, geomorphology, and archaeometry applications to the archaeological heritage rescue in Latin America. We welcome methodological, experimental and theoretical contributions that elucidates the interactions between humans and environment as well as the origin and development of materials used since prehistory time. NÚMERO ESPECIAL: AVANCES EN GEOARQUEOLOGIA Y ARQUEOMETRIA –INVESTIGACIONES RECIENTES EN AMERICA LATINA Debido al creciente interés por temas interdisciplinarios entre las Ciencias Exactas y la Arqueología, invitamos a participar con contribuciones sobre física, química, geociencias, geología, pedología, geomorfología y arqueometría que puedan contribuir al estudio y conservación de patrimonio cultural y arqueológico de América Latina. Solicitamos contribuciones metodológicas, experimentales y teóricas que aporten información sobre las interacciones entre los seres humanos y el medio ambiente, así como el origen y el desarrollo de los materiales utilizados en el pasado. SPECIAL ISSUE: PALEOMAGNETISM AND TECTONICS IN LATIN AMERICA: NEW CONTRIBUTIONS AND FUTURE CHALLENGES During the last decades, a significant growth in the number of paleomagnetic studies in Latin- America has been observed. These have come both from active paleomagnetic groups already established in Latin America as well as from researchers working around the world, who focused their investigations in Latin America. The subjects and objectives of these investigations have been also widely varied. Due to the increasing interest on local and regional investigations in Latin America, we welcome new contributions dealing on all topics of Paleomagnetism and Rock-magnetism: tectonics, palaeogeographic reconstructions, magnetostratigraphy, magnetic fabric, mineralogy, paleosecular variation, relative and absolute paleointensities, reversals, excursions, environmental magnetism, archaeomagnetism, among others. We welcome traditional research papers and short communications. The manuscript must be prepared in accordance with the editorial policy of the journal,
NÚMERO ESPECIAL: PALEOMAGNETISMO Y TECTÓNICA EN AMÉRICA LATINA: NUEVOS APORTES Y DESAFÍOS Un crecimiento significativo se ha observado durante las últimas décadas en los estudios paleomagnéticos en América Latina. Estos estudios han sido realizados tanto por grupos ya establecidos en Latinoamérica como por investigadores que han trabajado en esta área pero que provienen de diversas partes del mundo. Los temas y objetivos de estas investigaciones han sido muy variados. Dado el creciente interés en investigaciones emergentes, tanto locales como regionales en Latinoamérica, son bienvenidas nuevas contribuciones en temas relativos a Paleomagnetismo y Magnetismo de Rocas como: tectónica, reconstrucciones paleogeográficas, magnetoestratigrafía, fábrica magnética, mineralogía, variación paleosecular, paleointensidades relativas y absolutas, inversiones, excursiones, magnetismo ambiental, arqueomagnetismo y otras.
