Abstract
A detailed toxonomic study of P. rioi (Nyst y Galeotti, 1840), is given based on the material from the Aptian fossiliferous localities near San Juan Raya and Zapotitlán, Puebla. 1t is suggested that P. onoense (Stanton) 1895, is a junior synonym of P. rioi. However P. rioi has been left out of the nomenclature because the lack of detailed taxonomic studies.
