Abstract
The size frequency and the morphology of sands, from the Continental Shelf in the east of Yucatán, give a local sedimentary facies. The geographical distribution of this facies and the physico-chemical behavior of the sea water shows that the sediments are distribuited in "bandas" with different proportions of skeletal, foraminiferes, auttigening agreggates (Iumps) clearly affected by the chemical and dynamics of the sea.
