Abstract

This paper describes the systematics of the main dating systems for geological and environmental processes during the late-Quaternary (<500000 years), specifically 14C, 210Pb, and 238U-234U-230Th. A short discussion is presented on the variety of samples amenable to dating, along with the advantages and limitations of the geochronological systems described here.

Keywords: Dating, 14C, 210Pb, 137Cs, U-Series.
